The 1899 Cafe Branding Project

I developed the overall look of The 1899 Cafe's branding, which is set to open in Milbridge, Maine, in 2026.

This included choosing typography/font styles, colors, logos, and icons that best represented everything this brand stands for.

The overall feel was intended to be warm and welcoming, appealing to both the current residents of Milbridge and those passing through or vacationing in the area. They also wanted the brand to match the Victorian building built sometime between the late 1800s and early 1900s, in which the business is located.

I chose a warm orange-yellow to evoke warmth and comfort. And Navy to add a sense of trustworthiness and dependability.

Below you will find the mini style guide I created to keep my client organized

As you scroll down, you will see, the logo I designed can be adapted to many other colors, as well as black and white, which will be beneficial for marketing purposes during different times of the year or to offer a variety of color options for merchandise, such as mugs for sale in the cafe.
